ISL Videos
Documentary on Deaf Education
Our school featured in a documentary on deaf education on RTE 1 on Thursday 23rd November. We were delighted to share our proud history of deaf education with a wider audience. You can see the trailer for the programme below and can watch the programme in full on the RTE Player.
Cineáltas Flag
We were delighted to receive a Cineáltas (Kindness) Flag from the Dept. of Education this week during Anti-Bullying Week. The flag acknowledges the good work that our school is doing and will continue to do to prevent and address bullying and to promote kindness, respect, inclusion, diversity and wellbeing.
Our Student Council were delighted to show the flag to all classes and to explain its signifigance.
Green School – No Idling Campaign
As you know, our school is taking part in the Green-Schools programme and one of the themes we work on is travel.
As part of our work on promoting sustainable travel to and from school, we have decided to launch a “No Idling” campaign outside the school gates.
From Monday 20th to Friday 24th November all vehicle owners are asked to turn their engines off whilst they wait to help improve air quality, reduce emissions and create a healthier environment around our school gates.
By making this simple change, we can make a real difference and improve the quality of air we all breathe. Let’s give it a go!
We would like to thank you for your continued support and we will keep you updated.
Kind Regards,
The Green-Schools Committee
Lunchtime Games
Our Active School Committee are organising some lunchtime games every Thursday. Lots of enjoyment was had by all today playing games such as hopscotch, snakes and ladders, duck duck goose, and snatch the bacon. There was some skipping going on as well. Thanks to the leaders who explained the rules and helped everyone enjoy themselves.
