Cineáltas Flag

We were delighted to receive a Cineáltas (Kindness) Flag from the Dept. of Education this week during Anti-Bullying Week. The flag acknowledges the good work that our school is doing and will continue to do to prevent and address bullying and to promote kindness, respect, inclusion, diversity and wellbeing.

Our Student Council were delighted to show the flag to all classes and to explain its signifigance.

Green School – No Idling Campaign

As you know,  our school is taking part in the Green-Schools programme and one of the themes we work on is travel.
As part of our work on promoting sustainable travel to and from school, we have decided to launch a “No Idling” campaign outside the school gates.
From Monday 20th to Friday 24th November all vehicle owners are asked to turn their engines off whilst they wait to help improve air quality, reduce emissions and create a healthier environment around our school gates.
By making this simple change, we can make a real difference and improve the quality of air we all breathe.  Let’s give it a go!
We would like to thank you for your continued support and we will keep you updated.
Kind Regards,
The Green-Schools Committee

Cumann na mBunscol Football News

Well done to our boys who won their first match in their Cumann na mBunscol competition on Thursday 14th September. The game against Gaelscoil Éadan Doire was played in a great spirit with lots of respect shown to the referee as well.

Our next fixture for the boys is against Pullough on Friday 6th October at 12pm in Geashill.

Our girls have two matches this week. They play Rhode on Wed 4th at 1pm in Rhode and then play Bracknagh on Friday in Geashill at 1.30pm.
