In Cairdeas 2 we listened to the story of Oisín and Niamh in Tír na nÓg.

Well done to everyone involved with Geashill Tidy Towns for winning the Offaly title once again this year.  Special congratulations for also winning the overall Pollinator Award from 70 other entries. Thanks to those parents who attended the internet safety meeting on Monday 25th September. There were lots of interesting topics discussed.  Thanks also to Davina from Zeeko, who was with us all day in school presenting workshops to children, teachers and parents. More information on Zeeko here.

In the coming weeks we will take part in the Run Around Europe Challenge. This is a project set up by Sports Ireland to get children active. Children run the equivalent distance to a city in Europe. We hope to arrive in London very soon!

Thanks to all those parents who attended the AGM of the Parents’ Council on Monday 18th September. It was a very positive and productive meeting.  The first event planned is a Cake Sale on Saturday 14th October.  More details later.
