Tough luck to our football team who narrowly lost out to Cloneygowan in the Cumann na mBunscol final in O’Connor Park on Wednesday. We played some wonderful football and showed huge fighting spirit and determination but it just wasn’t enough on the day. Well done to Cloneygowan for their performance and win.
Best of luck to our football team who take on our neighbours and friends from Cloneygowan NS in the final of their Cumann na mBunscol competition in O’Connor Park at 2.15pm on Wednesday. All support welcome.
Congratulations to the boys and girls in 2nd Class who celebrated their First Holy Communion on Saturday 12th May. Thanks to the parent co-ordinators, Ms. Leonard and Msgr. Coonan for all their work throughout the year. A big word of thanks to all the boys and girls who gave up their Saturday morning to sing in the choir. Thanks also to all the parents who brought them to the church.
Well done to our 6th Class pupil who recently came second in the Offaly Cumann na mBunscol Skills Competition.
Pupils in all classes became authors over the past couple of weeks and wrote books on a wide variety of topics. Lots of planning, creating and hard work resulted in some excellent books. This was part of the Write-A-Book Project organised by the Laois Education Centre. Well done to the children, teachers and parents for a great team effort.
