Our latest Board of Management meeting took place on Monday 11th February.

We were using money to do some shopping in our toy shop today.

We took advantage of the beautiful spring weather to take a stroll around the village to look for signs of spring. We saw lots of spring flowers, nests, blossoms and a ladybird.

We are ordering weights from the lightest to the heaviest.

The school will be closed on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd of February for the mid-term break.

4th Class have been busy over the last number of weeks.

They have created some lovely spring art and poems.

They have also been learning about light and reflection using mirrors and periscopes.

We are delighted to see so many birds visit our bird feeder ….especially the colourful goldfinches and siskins! A special thanks to our caretaker Eddie who keeps the feeders topped up!

The Parents’ Council are holding a Cake and Book Sale in the school hall on Saturday 2nd March from 12pm to 3pm.  All support appreciated.

Congratulations to our junior quiz team who came third in the Tullamore Credit Union Quiz held recently.  In a very close contest they finished in a tie for second with three other schools.  Following six tie break questions in total they finished in third place.  Well done to all the children from both the junior and senior teams for their hard work over the last couple of weeks.

Today, in Miss Walsh’s room we made St. Brigid’s Day Crosses using rushes.
