Work in 5th & 6th Classes
In Art we have produced some lovely work based on autumn and Hallowe’en.
We planted daffodil bulbs at the back of the school.
In Science we have been learning about the brain and how it controls everything we do. In this photo we are testing our reaction times.
Junior Infants
We have been busy getting ready for Halloween. We made spooky ghosts and pumpkin lanterns.
School Closure
School will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday 17th October as directed by Minister of Education.

Cake Sale
Well done to everyone involved with the Cake Sale which raised over €1000. Thanks to all those who baked and bought all the lovely buns, cakes etc. Special thanks to our Parents’ Council who organised this very successful event.
Football Matches
Well done to the girls for winning their final match of the group against Kilcormac/Broughal on Monday October 9th. The girls have played really well and are unlucky not to have reached the final.
Well done to the boys on their victory against Pullough on Wednesday October 10th. The team has played well, winning three of their five matches. Unfortunately they have just missed out on a place in the final.

In Cairdeas 2 we planted some daffodils bulbs.
Offaly Cross Country Athletics
Well done to all the children who took part in the Offaly Cross Country Athletics today. They all ran really well. A special congratulations to the 6th Class boys who came in 2nd place and brought home silver medals.
Aistear
