Hello to you all for the final week of the school year.
First of all here’s a list of the books that you need to get ready for your parents to bring into school on Monday between 10am and 11am. Ideally put them in a bag and write your name on it.

This week concentrate on getting your Just Grammar finished and continue with Duolingo.

Hello to you all again. I hope you enjoyed the weekend.
You’ve been doing great work over the last number of weeks and I continue to be so impressed with all you have been doing. The holiday brochures that were sent to me were really good too.
This week on Wednesday I’m going to have a video call with 5th Class at 10am and with 6th at 11am. Hopefully I’ll see you all but no worries if you can’t make it.
Thursday will be a Sport’s Day at home so I hope to see as much activity on Thursday as I saw during all of Active School Week! Think about what events you’d like to do and I’ll give you some suggestions as the week goes on as well.
We’ll be going on some Virtual School Tours this week as well so keep an eye on our page every day.

- When you get it finished you could attempt to write a book review.

- Keep doing Duolingo for 20mins each day.
Geography:
- Try to finish both your Map Skills Book and Assessment Book this week.
- Also this week I want you to pretend you are going on a holiday to wherever you made your brochure about.
- Pretend to book a return flight (or train journey if you are staying in Ireland) for yourself and a friend using the Aerlingus, Ryanair or another airline’s website. DO NOT PAY FOR THE FLIGHT WITH YOUR PARENT’S CREDIT CARD!!!
- Then arrange your hotel or some other type of accommodation. You could use a site like Booking.com for this. Again DON’T PAY FOR ANYTHING!!!
- Work out the total cost for a week or fortnight’s holiday.
- I’d love to see what you come up with.
Maths:
- Try A Quick Look Back page from your Maths Books each day.
- There are 10 of these pages throughout your books.
- Just do what you can on each page. Don’t be under any pressure to get all 20 questions done.

- Watch when you can and do whatever activities you have time to do.

- Take a look at some of these locations in Ireland and take a virtual tour.

Transition from Primary to Post Primary Schools Webinar for Parents of 6th Class Primary Pupils
This session for parents of 6th class primary pupils will consider the transition from Primary to Post Primary school. We will consider the three focus areas of Context of Transitions, Differences and Challenges, and Practical Strategies
Key areas addressed in this session are:
– Supporting parents and students to manage change.
– Identifying common contexts of transition and the complexity involved in those transitions from on setting to another.
– Practical and straightforward ways to support students transitioning to Post Primary.

- Write a brief summary of the chapter and draw an illustration of a scene of your choice.
